After reading positive reviews I thought this book would be a hit. My kids are 4 and 7. It clearly was too short for both of them. They didn’t even want to read it again, nor did I. Maybe it’s a more for 2-3 year olds. I don’t think it’s worth the price.
Pros:
It has cute illustrations

Cons:
It lacks the true meaning of Christmas.
The whole book is centered on fox being invited to come because “a baby is coming”. And then fox’s response is not coming but doing something else that he enjoys doing. Then the last few pages is fox invited to come and finally does and “the baby smiled”. That’s all. It doesn’t mention Jesus’s name once, it’s snowing out, and the baby is Caucasian - so it lacks accuracy. There is no Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angels.

So if you are looking for a Christmas story with the true meaning of Christmas this is not it. I like they it’s an invitation to come as you are but truly disappointed that I purchased it. This was meant to be a gift for a book exchange that I didn’t end up using.

Cute new Christmas story. Class liked it.
Beautiful artwork. Sweet story. Everyone is good enough! Everyone welcome!
I read this at our Christmas family dinner 2018. It brought smiles to everyone's faces. It's not a long story, but it's sweet and makes the point that you can come to Jesus even if you feel like you have nothing to offer.
My son's favorite animal is a fox, and his favorite holiday is Christmas. He was speechless when he received it for Christmas P Great book
A fun and tender Christmas story, that is beautifully illustrated! I bought a copy for my godson, and he liked it so much that I have to order more for my goddaughter and my college roommate's daughter.

A different animal to add into the nativity. The story is sweet, the colors are bright and the story is enjoyable
This book is now our favorite children's Christmas books to read and I'm not gonna lie…this book will probably make its appearances throughout the year too - it is such a wonderful book! It is written through the animal's point of view as they all gather to welcome Baby Jesus. It has such a great and heartfelt message - "Come as you are. It is enough." It has gorgeous illustrations too! It's just all around a great book! I would highly recommend buying it for every kiddo in your life!
