I need to first state that Steve Massey offered to give me a copy of his book to read. I purchased it for Kindle, instead. Up front, the author and I do go back and forth on Twitter. Anyone who has read my reviews knows that I can be something of a witch with a "b". This needs to be said, up front.First of all, the formatting is excellent! Far too often, and I've bought well over 1500 books for Kindle (I know, it's pathetic) formatting can ruin the best read. Kudos! It is short and sweet, taking me maybe 30 minutes to read - it is that well written. I like well written. When something is well done, it doesn't matter the politics, I appreciate well done. I also like the idea that Massey did not insult the reader's intelligence by padding the length with a vomit of unnecessary verbiage. He provides a brief history of intervention, with the obvious results. He also clears up a bit of information about who is whom and the sides when dealing with Syria. His appeal is for non-intervention. I don't mind admitting think intervention here is not a good idea, but I come to the conclusion a bit differently and for a different reason. No matter.
If all political books could come directly to the point, quickly, it would be so much easier. I want to know what the author has to say, not spend a life-time trying to get to the point. I am a very fast reader, so it may take someone longer to read this, maybe an hour, but no more.
